What can I expect for my first consultation?
Before your first consultation, you will receive an email with “housekeeping” documentation to complete. You will need to create a Google account (if you don’t already have one) to access, complete and sign these documents.
During your first consultation share your story, answer questions and we collaborate to prioritize your concerns. Education is provided as appropriate along with tips and tricks to get started on a path that is right for you.
After your consultation, you will receive a follow-up email with a summary of the session, recommendations for moving forward, appropriate resource information and additional tips/tricks related to your needs.
Each subsequent consultation will build on the last one, following your lead for what matters most in helping develop the confidence you need along your journey.
How many appointments will I need?
Determining the number and frequency of appointments is a collaborative decision and depends on your preferences and type of service you are receiving. Appointments range from intermittent, weekly, biweekly, monthly or as a subscription rate for more rapid response needs.
How are Senior Moments Consulting services provided?
Senior Moments Consulting offers services in person or virtually. For virtual appointments we can connect via phone, email or Google Meet. For in person we typically meet in your home but can also choose a more neutral location if you prefer.
When are appointments available?
Appointments are offered on a flexible schedule to accommodate a variety of needs. We have availability during normal business hours, evenings and weekends. Once you become a client you will gain access to a calendar and can self-schedule your appointments.
Does Senior Moments Consulting bill insurance?
Unfortunately, consultation services are not covered by insurance. Consultation although invaluable is not viewed by insurance as a “medical necessity.” If medically necessary treatment is required, such as OT, PT or Speech Therapy services, we will assist you in finding an appropriate referral.
What type of payment does Senior Moments Consulting accept?
Acceptable forms of payment include cash, check, ACH bank draft, Venmo or Zelle. You will be billed by electronic invoice (email) and can pay through a secure portal for bank drafts. Venmo or Zelle is also an option at your request. We do not accept credit/debit at this time due to the high service fees.
How much can I expect to pay for Senior Moments Consulting Services?
- For individuals/families: a follow-up email will be sent to you after the initial (free) 30 minute meeting. That email will summarize your expressed concerns, needs, and preferences. It will also highlight recommended services and include an up-to-date fee schedule. You can contact us at your convenience if you choose to move forward.
- For groups: Workshop fees are determined by audience (community education vs. staff training), content (single session vs. series) and length of workshop. Once content and structure is determined, a fee schedule will be provided.
